Morinaga Freeze Dried Amazake Rice Drink 4 Servings

Experience a cup of a traditional, low-alcohol Japanese beverage at home. This is freeze-dried amazake that you can instantly enjoy simply by mixing with water.

Amazake is a fermented rice drink made from sake kasu (sake lees) and kome koji (malted rice) with a slightly sweet flavor. Its texture is normally creamy, thick, and chunky (this comes from the rice grains).

Its freeze-dried processing means you can store this product for longer than normal liquid-type amazake.

Amazake is considered to be one of the most nutritious Japanese drinks because it is rich in B vitamins, dietary fiber, and folic acid.

Instructions

Add a block of freeze-dried amazake to a cup, and pour 100ml of hot water into the cup.

Stir well with a spoon, and it is ready to drink.

This amazake can be served hot or cold. You can also enjoy amazake by adding milk to it instead of water.

You can also enjoy this beverage by adding grated ginger or lemon juice.
